I have a 2005 C4 1.4 Petrol and failed MOT because my rear fog lamp was not working at all. After a quick check the front fog lamp is not working too. I have to mention that I just bought the car and noticed about the fault after. I do not have any faults on the dashboard, and when I try to switch on the fog lamps no light is coming on the stalk.
I am having an intermittent "Service/Suspension fault" warning occasionally on my C4 Picasso Exclusive. It only seems to happen when there is no load in the back and is totally at random. If you check the faults in Lexia it comes up with C1196 and all the usual messages Height change inconsistent coherent fault.

A code reader detected the front left abs sensor fault, I quickly cleaned up the abs ring and the fault disappeared for quite a while but now its back and happens every time I drive now. Like I say I think this is completely separate but just in case it has something to do with it. The car : 2007 C4 Grand Picasso, 1.6 diesel.

If the compressor is operating, but the car is not raising in one side, then it may be a leak in the spring / cushion on that side. If it's not raising on either side and you can't hear the compressor and it's not the relay, then it's likely to be the compressor. But fault codes will be helpful. You may still get an engine fault message for a few starts, but it should go away once it realises the fault is no longer live. Richard W.
