Lastyear I went camping with my Alfa 156SW and brought with me a three person tent, an inflatable kayak and two mountain bikes together with some provisions. They all fit nicely inside the car. Thatsaid, the Alfas sold in the US up until 1995 were like the Ferrari-lites also being sold at the time. Both marques have moved along in terms of maintenance requirements. Both are perfectly reliable if you are willing to engage in constant maintenance. And driving an Alfa is uniquely Italian.
Asan owner of a stelvio and manager at Alfa, if you can find a 2020 and up model, the interior build quality is more solid. As for reliability, I have a 2021 ti sport and had to replace the transfer case at around 20k but that was a very rare thing to happen.
