One morning when I've started the car, dashboard gave me lot of fault messages and automatic handbrake didn't want to release. I took the van back in to get the job done and driving 5 minutes away from the garage the fault risk of filter blocking come back up. I rang up the garage to speak to the owner, he said to give it a good run and see how it goes. I done a regen again resetting the fault. The day later the code come back again and sent the van back into limo mode.

Finally, the one thing that is really bugging me about this fault is that with this fault the auto park brake does not engage and disengage as it should. However, when I first start the car up if I press the accelerator quick it disengages as normal - almost as if the cars computer brain hasn't had time to remind itself that theirs a fault.

(1) An electrical fault or sensor fault. or (2) Crud on the sensors. With the grot and grime from recent snow and slush I had the car telling me "Brake now!". It eventually turned the sensors off. I wiped the bumpers and all was fine.

It starts with tyre under inflation monitoring fault, parking brake fault, anti-roll back system fault, ESP/ASR system fault and ABS fault. Took it to local Citroen garage and it said the wiring harness B3FW011N00 3.5 9R34.RP00 needs to be replaced and 4 hours labour with it total of over 600 euros. Has anyone else had this problem with Citroen.

Yes, it's a typical failure, but a 2008 is nearly 8 years old, 2 years past the 6 year limit, so no chance of any kind of liability claim. I get the impression that electromechanical parking brakes are now improving, but yours, the original C-Max's and the 2005-2011 Passats were known to be trouble. £1,000 is normal for replacement parking brake motors both sides.
