Basically, you're able to update OTA through the MMI if your checksums are still valid but updating OTA only allows you to download 3 regions and that's it; you're unable to update the entirety of the navigation database OTA so certain regions would be outdated.

I guess apparently they removed that ability so now you have to pay for it. I just bought the latest firmware update for MMI 3GP/3G plus/HN+ vers. K09426 for A4/A5/Q5/Q7.
