Remove the inside door panel. Be careful with power window switch and door speaker wiring connectors. Disconnect them before pulling the door panel away. Remove any plastic covers that may be glued to the door. Have a look at the door handle from inside the door. You will have some idea as to how to remove it. The passenger door lock on my Mondeo MK4 has failed. I've bought a secondhand one, stripped the door and replaced it.

I had a similar problem, the double locking activated and the door wouldn't unlock manually. Loads of WD40 later and repeated activating of the central locking and it finally released, then I unplugged the loom inside the door and taped it out of the way. Just have to remember to lock/unlock the door manually until I get a new part.

I have a 2011 MK3 Ford Focus with keyless entry which has been working fine for the last 3 years. But this last week ive found the passenger side handle now wont lock the car. It locks and unlocks when I use the remote no problem. When I lock the car using the drivers handle I can unlock the car with the passenger handle.

Anyone know where, in the UK, I can purchase the (big) motors for the door lock mechanism on a Mondeo Mk4. Original problem: does not lock drivers side front and rear door using remote central locking. Manually locking drivers door only locks that door, i.e. no manual central locking of other doors. Begins as an intermittent fault; As Problem worsens: Drivers Mirror / window controls fail to operate windows / mirrors on passenger side of vehicle.

Usually the warning sounds like parking sensors, door open, etc come through the Speakers but i've noticed they've just started coming from behind the dash, like an internal speaker. Problem is with my dads mondeo estate (58 reg) in that the boot wont stay shut, this has only started to happen since the snow, so my first thought was that some moisture has gotten somewhere, but would like someone elses opinion on the issue, so a quick run down of the issue, unlock the car, boot stays shut for about a minute then unlocks

Turn the chrome ring and pull it dow. Then unlock the bottom latches and pull the knob up. Mount: Little oil can help. While reinsertig push and hold the button. The little lever in knob will slide to lock in gear stick. For me it was 1 hour of hard work and puzzle to discover this "mystery" with pushed button.

The latch (visible when the door is open) was sticking open so the door just kept bouncing back. I used lithium grease (spray can) and a screwdriver to move the mechanism back and forward to work in the grease. I'd tried wd40 beforehand and a rag to clean the mechanism. The WD40 on its own wasn't enough to solve the problem.
